50% of shootings occur within 5 feet...70% within 10 feet!

The Advanced Tactical Concealed Handgun course is an 8 hour, all day shooting course and is fast paced and high-stress. This course is specifically designed for those who already possess an intermediate knowledge of handgun safety and techniques. The student feels comfortable using a revolver or semi automatic firearm and has the necessary confidence in their firearm skills that would lend itself to a non hesitant stance and action if a critical incident were to occur.

This course will take the student far beyond Oregon Revised Statute requirements for a Concealed Handgun License and into the advanced realm of handgun protection and shooting tactics. Ideal candidates have a significant shooting experience with handguns.

Students MUST possess intermediate to strong firearm handling skills PRIOR to attending this school. The program concentrates on advanced shooting skills such as use of the "safety circle" concept, pivoting and turning to fire, movement while firing, and unconventional kneeling and lying shooting positions, as well as reduced-light training with the handgun.

Those considering attending this school must have a good working knowledge of ALL the firearms he/she will be using during this school and must have successfully completed a recognized firearms class that included general methods of instruction. THIS is not a beginners school, and those attending who demonstrate a lack of basic handling skills with any of their firearms will be asked to discontinue with the class.
