DEFENSIVE SHOTGUN 201
This is a full-day intermediate to advanced defensive shotgun fundamentals course for students that want to increase skill set. Drills, advanced movement, elevation changes, combat follow through and more.

This is a basic course for shooters with some shooting experience with a shotgun and some with a handgun who wish to become more familiar with and more competently operate a defensive shotgun. This school centers on the defensive shotgun. Candidates will learn more advanced techniques to operate shotguns. You'll learn shotgun parts, nomenclature, styles, accessories, manipulation, and nuances of shotgun operation and handling for defensive purposes, both in the home and on the street.

Range work moves to more advanced shotgun marksmanship accountability to moderate defensive movement, refining proper hold, mounting, aiming, operation, stance, and movement to operate a shotgun for defense in a much more competent manner. Students utilize various shooting positions with elevation changes, pivots, and turns. The use of a sling and “safety circle” are emphasized and refined as well as various ready positions and concepts of transitioning from defense shotgun to handgun in the event of shotgun malfunctions. Malfunction clearance drills will be worked and learned as well. Students will also practice transitioning from strong side to support side with the sling already learned in the Beginning Shotgun 101 course.
